The Green March in Sharda University

To stimulate awareness about environment and enhance students and faculty action and reaction is the main aim of club – “Color It Green”.

The club members of CIG Club conducted a rally followed by a road show on the second day of CHORUS ‘2010– ‘The Annual function of Sharda University’.The slogan for the event was ‘Clean Sharda- Green Sharda’, the members of club commenced the rally from Kasturba girls hostel and terminated peacefully near the School of Business Studies. The hand-made colourful posters and banners were the centre of attraction for the mob.

The main aim of the rally was to generate awareness among students to keep the campus clean and healthy. The jingle for the rally was “Go green-Go green, Clean Sharda- green Sharda”. Road show was followed by rally, theme of the road show was air pollution which focused on the following question,

“One day you come out from your house and all you see is big puffs of black smoke and no trees! All you hear are cars and no birds! All you smell is gasoline and no flowers! What kind of life is that? Is it worthy to live in such a world?”

CIG Club will strive through it’s vehicle’s of seminars, rallies and other activites to face environmental issues.
